Shot at the brands Headquarters in Brancadoro, which is in the Le Marche region of Italy, Inside Tod’s Studio unveils the world of Tod’s and its collections, from the initial concept to the final phase of craftsmanship. This eye-opening, exhilarating behind-the-scenes experience focuses on the Spring 2021 Pre-Collections which will be in store from December.
Moving freely at a natural pace, the camera follows the Creative Director, Walter Chiapponi, as he walks through the Tod’s Headquarters, via the design studios, research departments and workshops, straight into the heart of the company and its people. We are shown into the spaces where the products are made, starting from the very first phases in the creative process.
As we get a glimpse of the mood boards, prototypes and designs, Tod’s Creative Director explains how the collection was created and what inspired him, before taking us into the universe of craftsmanship. As we explore the finest hides, machinery, moulds and coloured yarns, we get to observe at first-hand those who are cutting, sewing, and ensuring the excellent quality of the products. These close-up details and stages of craftsmanship take us to the final scene: the photoshoot. The team shoots the look book with Italian models Edoardo Sebastianelli; Alessandro Fella and Matilde Buoso wearing the collection’s highlights.

Tod's Pre-Spring 2021
Men’s and Women’s Collections
The accent is on the feeling of freedom and sense of humour that have always been at the heart of Tod’s imagery.
This world is expressed through new technologies, distinctive shapes, proportions and details, all of which take Tod’s craftsmanship to new heights.
The Men’s collection is strikingly masculine with male wardrobe classics, while the Women’s collection is more feminine and sensual: elaborate and sophisticated knee-length skirts are worn in laid-back nonchalance, while bow-tie blouses are used like luxurious t-shirts.
The collection references the Seventies and that special appetite for life; a busy city diary combined with leisure time, spent in the company of friends and family, without ever changing style.
Innovative materials and experimentation give a contemporary twist on artisanal detailing in this casual selection of shoes and loafers. Modern and light with a soft, plush toe, the Pre-Spring loafer has been reimagined with a touch of true elegance.
The boat shoe in extra light rubber stands out with its distinctive chunky stitching.
The Timeless T symbol reappears on everything, from bags; to chains that add sparkle to soft, flat, and heeled women’s loafers.
Thick rubber soles are embellished with faux inserts of leather, and laces in luxurious leather rather than cord: strong elements that portray a unique concept of modern casual.
The soft, unstructured Pillow Bag comes in suede or python, in either a sensual hobo shape or as a shopping tote.
The Holly Bag, first presented in the Fall-Winter 2020/21 collection, now comes in new colours with saddlery-style stitching and ribbing.
Ready to wear
A unique universe of casual elegance elevated by the materials and detailed colour palette. Shades of green, Bordeaux, navy and sky blue work in harmony with natural tones, adding colour to sportswear that has been designed to meet the codes of refined elegance.
Extensive variations on the theme of the jacket: outerwear in this collection embraces everything from the military-style long parkas, to the sartorial styling of the cropped blazer; the dazzling street-cool impact of the biker jacket, and the ultimate evolution of the trench coat, a style which features leather piping edges which, like the couture gathering on the waist, is versatile and easy to wear.
The collections will be available from December 2020 at Tod’s Boutiques and on tods.com
